How's the 2.6 work going?

What I got from this e-mail is that his patch can be used to detect the 
raid, but I don't understand how to set it up the MD afterwards.  I don't 
see any code in there.  I would love to be able to run Fedora Core 2 when 
it comes out (with a 2.6 kernel); should be out this month.
I don't mind doing some major hacking (like replacing udev rpms with my 
own, etc..).
