SATA support in 2.4 kernel

Dear Linuxfreaks,

I'm using kernel 2.4.26 while this is the first kernel to support cmd/medley 
software raid. I'm now considering to upgrade to 2.4.27-pre1 as libata and 
the sata drivers of the 2.6 kernel seem to be backported to 2.4. This will 
give an increadible performance improvement because UDMA is supported now 
(AND if it just works).

My question is: does Horsten's raid driver work together with the libata 
driver without modification?
