If there's any interest here, some kernel sizes and initramdisk
sizes.  This is on Ubuntu 9.04, 32 bit intel chip.  First
entry is current up-to-date official distro kernel, second is the 
"official" 2.6.32 kernel, third is the one I rolled myself.
