Software Freedom Day

 just wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone who turned up at the market square today to help out with the Software Freedom day event.

We had a bit of a slow start, but we ended up handing out the bulk of the 200+ CDs we came with and many of the people we spoke to were receptive to the idea of free software, and several were seriously considering switching over to Linux.  We also got a few people who were already using Linux and were happy to hear that there was a LUG in the area.

All in all a good morning's work from all concerned (and it didn't rain!).
