I'm using Thunderbird and it's rubbish.  The theory is that because
it's extensible I'd be able to find the necessary widgets to add to
it to make it handle mailing lists, allow arbitrary "from:" addresses,
and any other tweaks I find I need.  So far I've not managed it.

Kmail (which I now realise was a lot better than I thought it was)
lacked one crucial feature - the ability to detach attachments.
I tried an add on perl script but it didn't work.  Has this
feature been added now?
