Hi all,

I joined the list a few days ago and thought I should probably introduce
myself a little.
I am relatively recent linux user, having had my first proper contact
with it around 2003/04 and since 2006 I am a full time linux user. I am
49, possibly one of the older members on the list, and I currently work
as Business Systems Manager (effectively Head of IT) at Amino
Communications in Swavesey (that's about 10 miles northwest of
Cambridge, right next to the A14). At Amino, we have approx. 150 staff
in 6 offices all around the world, of which around 100 are linux users
and rest is on MS Windows. We also have approx 150 servers in operation,
of which approx. 80% are linux based, with a wide variety of distros
(Debian, Ubuntu, Redhat, Fedora, Centos, Gentoo, SuSe).

My personal favourite is Debian, and our whole household runs on it.
Home for me is in Stourbridge (Dudley), which is also the reason why you
probably won't see me at any of the monthly meetings.

I am not really a specialist in any field, but due to my job I am quite
good at picking up any subject and acquiring the necessary knowledge
very quickly. I also run my own web server, which is home to around half
a dozen web sites, and I run an open source project (www.latrix.org.uk)
for attendance and presence tracking.

Oh, and there is a blog: www.codercorner.org

cheers
Wolfgang
