How to include subtitles into video

Do you mean as a separate "track" or just embedded in the video stream. 
Kino will does the latter although it's going to be tedious if you've 
got a lot to do.

I added a scrolling URL (for 0:08 to 0:24) to the bottom of a video of 
me wittering on about Milton Country Park.
