Really? I've never seen any sign of that. This list does have the
problem that the reply-to doesn't default to the list so often it
*seems* that no one has replied but actually the OP has had replies
direct to them.

I rather doubt that. I think you would find people welcoming.
Having said that personally I don't go to CamLUG meetings for the same
reason I don't go to any meatspace meetings of e-groups I'm involved
with: because I don't see the point. Why would I want to meet any of you
lot in the flesh? Or you me?*
We have a perfectly good communication mechanism here already which
ensures everyone has a perfect record of what everyone else said and can
refer back to it later. It also gives time for research before speaking,
rather than shooting from the hip based on what little your addled brain
can remember after a few pints of bitter.
