I quite like Dreamhost. They use Debian, but that's not the only
reason I like (and use) them; they're also an excellent choice for
PHP/MySQL hosting, e.g. for MediaWiki, Drupal, etc.

Catches:
- DH can't register .uk domains
- not ideal for hosting python/java/rails apps.
