Hi Simon and all,
Apologies for my silence - I was in fact intending to send an email to the
list inviting enthusiastic individuals to help organise something. In fact,
I was rather hoping that someone would be able to devise and lead an
inspiring and insightful event for SFD that I could just show up to....
The materials that are available to the organisers are:
* 100 or so Ubuntu CDs in professional-looking sleeves
* 3 or 4 T-shirts (they are allegedly larger than last years!)
* a bunch of SFD stickers
* a handful of SFD balloons
* some SFD badges
I have applied for the same spot on market square that we had last year, but
not yet received a reply. We don't have to use it; if someone wishes to
organise an internal venue for an installfest + seminars or something like
that, please go ahead. Other options that have been recommended include an
SFD barbecue or an SFD music gig, if anyone feels particularly warm and
fuzzy!
Robert.
