Website adoption

Hi,

There were some discussion about CamLUG website, but there was not
final conclusion. I would like to change it and take responsibility
for our website. To do this I need some kind of access to the server.


My plan:
Based on our discussion I think that website should consist of very
static 'gate' which can link to other CamLug related resources (wiki,
blog planet etc.)
The entry webpage  should be time-independent as much as possible. It
looks horrible to have two years old message on the first page.

At the moment I've concentrated on gate. My first attempt can be access here:

I'm a fan of CSS zen garden so I tried dived html to content and
design. Content bases on Dareen suggestion but I'm thinking about some
small changes:
- in Acknowledgements add some general text - "CamLUG is joint effort
of many people who were it's member in pass are now and hopefully will
be in future. If you would like to learn more check our history page"
and move current content to this history page (and of course extend
it).
- maybe add some menu
- maybe add list FAQ

I tried to find any graphic element of CamLUG identity but I failed.
Therefore, my design bases on Cam. Uni. coat of arms. To make switch
easier and allow to to prepare your own css I add id to each tag on
the page.  Please submit something better.

I hope that like my ideas, however, do not hesitate to provide something better.
