I've got a spare 10/100 intel e100 pci card you're welcome to have. They 
seem to make life easier; your old desktop machine ran happily on 
suse10.2 and the on-board ether worked fine, installed suse11 and the 
network just wouldn't work - the device appeared but no traffic. 
Installed an e100 and it worked perfectly.

actually, I've got quite a few of these I'm happy to turn into 
charity-ware (i.e. give to CLUG members if they donate to charity)
